What a month May has been, with two bank holidays, a long weekend away and the start of half term, what is not to love? We certainly packed in a lot with a long weekend in Center Parcs, a trip to the rapeseed fields, exploring the bluebells and a trip to Yorkshire for a family cycle event….aswell as Eva’s first football match with Eddy taking her to Everton, Roma’s first hair cut ever and finally booking our summer holiday to Holland. Writing all that down does seem like we have done a lot.
I always joke that Roma was born a bit of a tomboy. From pretty much the start she has been into mischief, full steam ahead and has a love of cars, bikes, dinosaurs and being 100 miles an hour all of the time!
At the weekend the sun shone and we took the chance to visit Conkers discovery centre in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. It is an outdoor play and indoor discovery centre set in the national forest with so many activities to suit all ages. It’s somewhere we have been a fair few times before and I vividly remember going when Roma was just a week or so old.
