With the last of the sunshine set to be imminently replaced with a whole week of rain. Thereby threatening to change what we have all found to be our new lockdown normal…the garden life! Eddy decided to take a moment to be spontaneous.
That is as spontaneous as life under lock and key gets.
Which meant…camping in the garden.
Lockdown. Social Distancing. Isolation. Covid-19. Coronavirus.
Not phrases I was expecting to talk about on the blog, or at all come to mention it. I think it’s fair to say some of these terms the vast majority of us weren’t even aware existed before February 2020 never mind hearing them in every sentence uttered in the last two months.
Yet here we are
For her 9th birthday Eva decided she wanted a sleepover. Easy right?
We’ve never actually had a sleepover at all. She likes her space when she sleeps and the closest she’s ever got is camping with Eddy and another family where she shared her tent with a friend. Yet here she was asking for not one, not two, but SEVEN of her friends to sleepover at our house. Not JUST a sleepover *insert M&S advert voiceover here*. No. A sleepover party.
