You may, or may not, have noticed that I haven’t blogged for a few months. This isn’t because I have no photos or nothing to say, gosh if you know me in real life or follow me on social media you will know that I both always have a camera in my hand and am unintentionally a ‘why say 1 word when you can say 10’ kind of a girl, once I start I just can’t seem to stop…I do try and kerb it though I promise! It is true that summer holidays and September are always a little bit manic and finding time and headspace to write is tricky; but truth be told the latter part of this year has been a difficult one for me confidence wise.

This week was baby loss awareness week and if you have read my blog before or follow me on social media you will know we have our own story of loss which I have talked about a bit over the years. This is why I think that although this week is a really tough one for me as well as so many others. Seemingly bringing all the pain and grief to the surface once again and making me think about our baby and a life that we will never know. Whilst that is extremely hard, I also know that it is important and by talking about losses and all the individual stories surrounding us everywhere we look if we just take the time to see them, it makes people feel less alone and hopefully more able to share their stories with the world, no matter how heartbreaking or taboo.

For the first time in ages, or maybe forever, I actually forgot entirely to write this siblings post. Which I think is an accurate representation of summer holiday life right!? Just keeping all the balls in the air…just about, and soaking up every single moment which means barely knowing the time or the day nevermind the date! But as I sit here waiting for a man to come and hopefully get rid of a wasps nest that very lovingly greeted us from our summer holiday in the roof of our garage, and the children are playing nicely and quietly together (albeit making the place look like a bombsite in the process) I thought I’d take the chance to catch up.
