For her 9th birthday Eva decided she wanted a sleepover. Easy right?
We’ve never actually had a sleepover at all. She likes her space when she sleeps and the closest she’s ever got is camping with Eddy and another family where she shared her tent with a friend. Yet here she was asking for not one, not two, but SEVEN of her friends to sleepover at our house. Not JUST a sleepover *insert M&S advert voiceover here*. No. A sleepover party.

Tomorrow (at 3.46pm to be precise) you are going to be 9. NINE!
As each year passes it shouldn’t come as a surprise I know that. Yet it does. As I see it written down or am suddenly mesmerised by the huge shiny 9 balloon swaying in the middle of the lounge next to your perfectly wrapped presents awaiting you it takes my breath away. It seems so, big!
Football Football Football. That is what has pretty much dominated the last few weeks right? World Cup hope and all that. Well especially in my household as Eddy is the biggest football fan ever and will watch any match he can. I think it probably dominates his every day actually as he has a huge passion for the game no ,atter who is playing and was actually pretty good in his time, a few years and two knee operations ago that is. He is still pretty good though when he does play, he has that natural talent and scarily good knowledge that in another life might even have seen him live out his professional footballer dream.
