We seem to spend a lot of our weekends at National Trust properties these days, I mean I can think of worse ways to spend a Sunday I have to be honest so I think I just need to accept this is our thing now. Does that make me officially middle aged? Or just a middle class parent with a National Trust Membership?
Luckily I have a space enthusiasm on my hands so when nursery asked her to make a space ship or rocket out of recycled items to go with their weekly topic she was so unbelievably excited. I mean what better ‘homework’ than that? (If you can call it homework at 4 years old? I am not sure I want to!)
I ended last month with a sigh of relief that Christmas and birthday madness had gone by; yet here we are already staring in the face of another birthday! Roma is going to be turning 4 tomorrow and whilst everyone else thinks this month has had a million days and been the longest month ever, I am alright with the breathing space that brings and actually I can’t quite believe we are here already. Christmas goes by so incredibly fast that I am always grateful for January to slow down and take stock, maybe even feel like I have some control on my life again, maybe.
