Roma and I spend a lot of days at home. Of course we have the school run, we go on trips to the park, the marina, there are plenty of outdoor adventures to be had. In fact she is quite a physical and outdoors child given the choice and at the weekends we are rarely in the house for very long, but in the week, when the school run is done there is just me and Roma and that time is spent firmly right here, at home.
I am at the stage of parenting with Roma that I’m in acceptance. I know the baby days are behind us and whilst sometimes I am sad about that I have come to focus on all the amazing times to come. I am not longer sad at the lasts, or overly emotional at the firsts but into the joy of what that moment brings. I will be honest and say
That first drink of the day, a hot coffee in hand, drank whilst sat with the light streaming through the windows and the children playing happily together in the morning sun. That is the dream.
