When we first found out that we would be spending the summer in Northern France with Eddy’s work of course our first consideration was travel. With two young children and a whole month to cater for it seems a natural decision to bypass the restricted leg room and luggage allowance of a plane ride, the torture of being cooped up in the car for what would feel like days on end when the littlest isn’t exactly a huge fan and head straight to the Ferry.

Me and Mine – August 2016
Wow, what a month this has been. August I have to say has been anything but ordinary and probably a month that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life. As I sat down to write last months Me and Mine post we were on the Ferry to France for the start of our big adventure. And now all of a sudden we are on the return leg of our journey and it seems only fitting to be sat once again on the ferry writing this post. Yet now we are not full of excitement of what August may hold, what adventures we could have and how beautiful the beach would be. We are full of happiness, we have the amazing memories we have made along the way and a reinvigorated love of travel.
Beach Days in Brittany {The Ordinary Moments #29}
It seems surreal to say that beach days for us are an ordinary moment. Living in Staffordshire we are pretty much as far away as you can get from a beach. Yet at the moment and for 4 whole weeks we have one within a 3 minute walk. So it is, if not just for now, an ordinary moment.
