Music has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, pretty much in any form, playing, dancing, singing, you name it. E has inherited that love, she can hear a song once and know the lyrics, tell what instrument is playing on a track or name the artist just by the tone or sound of their voice.
My eldest Little Lady E started school in September. This journey as any parent of a school age child knows started almost a whole year before, when at 3 years old she seemed too little to even contemplate school 5 days a week. Yet as parents we are supposed to be able to choose a school for them, for a person they have not yet become, to start their learning journey.
I have had THE best day. I am sat here now rather emotional about my Little Lady having an operation tomorrow. Trying anything and everything to distract myself. She is having a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and grommets, a routine surgery that I am sure happens every day all around the country. She will be in the hands of one of the best ENT surgeons in the country. Yet to me, she is my Little Lady, my baby, even at 5 years old and truth be told. I don’t want her to be in the hands of anyone else. Alas I know she will be better for it and I will certainly be there until she closes her eyes and again as soon as she opens them. I am here for her always.
